INTERNATIONAL ENDODONTIC WEEKEND

Two days. Two major clinical challenges. One comprehensive endodontic experience.

The International Endodontic Weekend, organized by the Academic Society for Dental Education (ASDE), brings together two complementary masterclasses dedicated to the diagnosis, treatment and management of complex endodontic situations.

DAY 1 — INFLAMMATORY LESIONS OF ENDODONTIC ORIGIN From Diagnosis to Prognosis

  • The first day focuses on understanding the pathogenesis of inflammatory lesions of endodontic origin, establishing an accurate diagnosis and selecting the appropriate therapeutic strategy.

  • Participants will explore the management of these lesions, with particular emphasis on the clinical applications of bioceramic materials, treatment prognosis and the management of failures through clinical case discussions.

DAY 2 — ADVANCED ENDODONTIC RETREATMENT From Clinical Decision-Making to Predictable Treatment Outcomes

  • The second day is dedicated to problem-solving in endodontic retreatment, from case selection and failure analysis to the management of complex root canal anatomy and procedural complications.

  • Through clinically oriented lectures and case discussions, participants will address calcifications, severe curvatures, ledges, broken instruments, perforations, open apices and endodontic microsurgery.

From diagnosis to retreatment — two days designed to strengthen clinical decision-making and achieve more predictable outcomes.

By the end of this masterclass, participants will be able to:

  • Understand the pathogenesis of inflammatory lesions of endodontic origin and its impact on treatment planning.

  • Establish a structured approach from diagnosis to prognosis in endodontic lesions.

  • Understand the role and clinical applications of bioceramic materials in the management of endodontic lesions.

  • Evaluate treatment outcomes, prognosis and endodontic failures through clinical cases.

  • Make evidence-based clinical decisions in endodontic retreatment and appropriately select cases.

  • Identify the causes of endodontic failure and develop strategies to improve treatment outcomes.

  • Manage challenging root canal anatomy, including calcifications, severe curvatures and ledges.

  • Develop appropriate strategies for broken instrument retrieval or bypassing.

  • Prevent and manage procedural complications and perforations during retreatment.

  • Apply contemporary approaches to the diagnosis and management of open apex cases.

  • Understand the indications and clinical strategies for endodontic microsurgery when nonsurgical retreatment is not sufficient.

  • Integrate these concepts into a more predictable, clinically oriented endodontic workflow.
